UNK’s Alpha Phi sorority hosted its ninth annual King of Hearts male pageant Thursday evening at Kearney High School.

Eleven contestants representing various UNK fraternities, student organizations and athletic teams competed in dance, talent and interview sessions before a panel of guest judges selected the overall winner.

KeyShaun VanDyke of Florissant, Missouri, representing Loper football, received the coveted title of Mr. King of Hearts.

Other winners were:
Mr. People’s Choice – Jackson Miller of Kearney, representing Delta Tau Delta
Mr. Talented – David Reazola of Clay Center, representing Phi Delta Theta
Mr. Congeniality – KeyShaun VanDyke of Florissant, Missouri, representing Loper football
Mr. Heartthrob – Jackson Miller of Kearney, representing Delta Tau Delta

Other contestants were: Chaz Denson, Sigma Phi Epsilon; Erick Leiva, Pi Kappa Alpha; Noah Thede, Teacher Scholar Academy; Caleb Hoadley, Circle K; Heath Haberman, Health and PE; Aidan Weidner, Student Government; Jacob Busch, Sigma Tau Gamma; and Josh Thompson, Kearney CrossFit.

Proceeds benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s cardiac care and student scholarships, and the S.A.F.E. Center, a Kearney-based nonprofit that assists people impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
