The Alpha Phi sorority raised more than $7,000 at its 16th annual Red Dress Poker and Pitch Tournament Thursday night at Legacy on the Bricks in downtown Kearney.
About 200 people from the UNK and Kearney-area communities participated in the tournament, which Alpha Phi hadn’t hosted since 2020. The sorority took a year hiatus from the event because of COVID-19 concerns and held an online fundraiser instead.
Proceeds from this year’s event go to the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s heart health education and research.
