Library hosting facility master planning discussions March 14-15

UNK students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in master planning for the future of the Calvin T. Ryan Library.

“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to engage with your colleagues in the development of a forward-thinking vision that serves students, faculty staff and the community,” said Janet Wilke, dean of the library.

UNK is working with RDG Planning & Design and Aaron Cohen and Associates, a library consultant from New York City, to assist with the visioning process. The RDG and Cohen team will share information regarding the future of libraries and related services on university campuses.

A kickoff workshop from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday (March 14) in the library’s Jennings Room will provide information that will begin to guide the upcoming planning process.

An open forum from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday (March 15) in the Jennings Room will build on the information presented at the kickoff workshop to further develop the master plan.
