Kathryn Falconer Awarded Kleffner Award

Dr. Kathryn Falconer, professor of communication disorders at the
University of Nebraska at Kearney has been awarded the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSLHA) Kleffner Clinical Career Award.

Falconer was awarded at the annual NSLHA convention held in Kearney on October 10-11. The award is presented to an individual in recognition of outstanding contributions to clinical practice in communication sciences and disorders over a 20-year or longer period.

Falconer provides one-on-one teaching to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in practicum. She has served on the UNK Institutional Review Board, Graduate Council and Faculty Senate. Falconer also served a term as president of NSLHA.
