Comments from those who nominated Weber:
“One of Nancy’s roles in our office is as an adviser to deciding students, as well as a career adviser to students regardless of major. Her genuine, caring and patient attitude shows in each and every interaction with students. She is diligent in reaching out to each of her advisees to be sure they are receiving the correct information about scheduling their classes. She is the adviser of choice when a student needs some extra time taken, a little more kindness shown.”
“In addition to academic advising, Nancy assists students with resumes, cover letters and practice interviews. She provides detailed and clear explanations to students. It is easy to see she enjoys working with the students, always maintaining a very professional approach with each of them.”
“We always joke in our office that Nancy is our “Editor in Chief” when it comes to critiquing or reviewing brochures, flyers or any of a number of documents that we create. Her writing, grammar and language skills are exceptional. We can always count on Nancy if we need to have something critiqued. She can look at something that is really good already and suggest ways to make it better. If Nancy is working on a project, we are always confident that she will be thorough, organized and thoughtful in her approach. As a result, she consistently produces high-quality work.”
“As a colleague, who could ask for better? Not us. She is a dedicated team member, always willing to help out when help is needed, shares great ideas, and shows a real dedication to her profession. She is also incredibly fun to be around, which puts colleagues and students at ease.”
“Nancy is a supportive co-worker. Other advisers in the office consistently ask her for feedback, and she makes herself available to help. She continually ponders how to make our interactions with students more effective, or how certain processes could be explained more clearly to students, and she shares those ideas with the rest of the advisers in the office so that we can all be more effective.”
