UNK- Dr. Guy Doud, past National Teacher of the Year, is set to speak at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Dr. Doud received the National Teacher of the Year Award in 1986 and was honored at a ceremony at the White House by then President Ronald Regan. His message, which deals with love, family, relationships, success and dreaming dreams, is aimed at those interested in the education profession and anyone striving to achieve personal success.
Dr. Doud has addressed hundreds of groups since his national honor, including the Rural Electric Association, the National School Board Association, and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. In 1989 he was the platform speaker for the Million Dollar Roundtable and was rated one of the top speakers of all time.
UNKÕs Student Activities Council is sponsoring Dr. Doud at 7 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the Ponderosa Room of the Nebraskan Student Union.
