KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Alpha Phi sorority is hosting its annual Red Dress Pitch and Poker Tournament on March 21 at Holiday Inn Kearney, 110 Second Ave.
In its 18th year, the event includes Texas Hold ’em and 10-point pitch. Entry fees are $12 per person for poker and $10 per person for pitch, with costs increasing to $15 and $12 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased at https://e.givesmart.com/events/Big/. Raffle tickets are also available at that site.
Poker check-in starts at 5 p.m. March 21, with the tournament beginning at 5:30 p.m. Pitch registration is 5:30 p.m., followed by the tournament at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s heart health research, leadership programming, heritage preservation, scholarships and grants. Last year’s tournament raised $6,500 and included more than 200 players from UNK and Kearney-area communities.
