Nebraska Army National Guard members flew from Grand Island to the University of Nebraska at Kearney practice field Wednesday afternoon and showcased a CH-47 Chinook helicopter.
As a special thank-you to the university for its support of the military, the three-man crew gave administrators and department heads a ride on the helicopter, which provided a bird’s-eye view of Kearney landmarks. The event was organized by Capt. Damien Cullen and the UNK Army ROTC program.
