PHOTOS: UNK students show off graham cracker creations

More than 40 student teams participated in Loper Programming and Activities Council’s annual gingerbread house competition Wednesday night at the Nebraskan Student Union.

Associate math professor Amy Nebesniak, associate history professor David Vail and residence hall coordinator Kelley Robinson judged the creations on quality, originality/creativity and overall effect. Teams were required to make every part of their structures edible and they could not be constructed outside the 30-minute competition time.

The first-place team was awarded $150, second place earned $100 and third place received $50.

LPAC provided frosting and graham crackers. Participants brought their own embellishments.
