The Technology Excellence Award, offered at the University of Nebraska at Kearney the past eight years, is now open for all Information Technology Services across the University of Nebraska system.
The University of Nebraska Technology Excellence Award recognizes the exemplary performance of ITS staff members who consistently provide a level of service significantly above and beyond specific job responsibilities.
To be eligible, employees must report directly to ITS and must have completed at least one year of service prior to the award application deadline. Recognition for the award is based on an individual’s commitment in terms of job performance; a commitment to service for students, faculty and/or staff; and contributions to the profession.
Nominations may be made by faculty, staff or co-workers. A letter addressing the nominee’s exemplary contributions, accomplishments and job performance, and/or extraordinary service to faculty, staff and students is to be submitted to the campus CIO by Aug. 1. All letters will be treated as confidential.
Nominations will be reviewed by a six-member committee with two representatives from the UNK, UNO and UNL Faculty Senate IT committees. The committee may request additional information about the nominees. The award will be announced in September.
