“The way I play baseball and create art is with passion. I wear my heart on my sleeve, in both baseball and art. Art to me is when someone creates something with so much passion you can see it in the blood and sweat that went into their achievements.
“To find a baseball player who loves art is unusual, I guess. When asked how my teammates react to me being an artist, each one of them is an artist in their own way, and that is how they see me. I’m always trying to be better in art and baseball, and to win a ball game is like creating your final masterpiece without error.
“I would like to help the world by showing people that art is featured in our daily lives. It’s the creativity of what you do that I see as art, always perfecting your craft the older you get.”
