RURAL SUMMIT: SAVING OUR SMALL TOWNS SET FOR FEBRUARY 26, 2002

Center for Rural Research & Development director, Kay Payne, will be one of three panelists on Nebraska ETV on Tuesday, February 26, at 7 p.m. Payne, along with John Allen from the Center for Applied Rural Innovation and Linda Fettig from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, will be part of the live call-in program called Rural Summit: Saving Our Small Towns on Nebraska ETV on Tues. It will also be simulcast on the Nebraska Public Radio Network.

Loretta Carroll will host this 90-minute program featuring lively discussion and in-depth background reports. Payne states, “I think the most important trait a community can have is a positive attitude toward change; this includes a willingness to think in new ways, stay up-to-date with economic trends, take calculated risks, and a willingness to be collaborative and inclusive.”
