Area high school students will be rounded up and rockin’ to success on February 20 at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The UNK English department will be hosting Rockin R Roundup: Readin’ –Writin’ –Rhymin for area high school students and their teachers. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Thomas Hall, participants will learn about play and script writing, poetry writing and family history writing. Special sessions for teachers include “Preparing Your Students for Freshman Composition” and “Teacher Education Program and Its Impact on the Public Schools.”
Sigma Tau Delta English Honorary Students will be helping out with the workshops.
