BRANDON HAUFF AND EMILY GEARHART EARN WAL-MART SCHOLARSHIPS TO UNK

UNK- The University of Nebraska at Kearney has recently announced that Brandon Hauff of Kearney, and Emily Gearhart of Newman Grove have been awarded Wal-Mart scholarships to attend UNK.

A Wal-Mart scholarship values $5,000 to each recipient and is renewable for four years, totaling $20,000. To qualify for a Wal-Mart scholarship, applicants must have high academic achievement, attain a minimum of a 27 ACT score, a 3.5 grade point average, be in the top 10 percent of their graduating class and demonstrate community service and leadership. In addition, the applicants must be committed to the computer science, computer information systems or industrial distribution programs at UNK.
