UNK faculty members named National Strategic Research Institute Fellows

University of Nebraska researchers continue to step up to solve problems for the Department of Defense (DOD). Today, the National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI) at the University of Nebraska announced 49 new NSRI Fellows who aim to contribute their expertise to the strategic deterrence and countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) mission areas. ‘Ask a Scientist’ panel on stem cells, COVID-19 features UNMC’s Dr. Ali Khan

Graduate degrees for approximately 50 students were conferred Thursday evening during a hooding ceremony at UNK’s Health and Sports Center. Chancellor Doug Kristensen awarded degrees to the winter graduates, and University of Nebraska President Ted Carter was also in attendance. Commencement speakers were UNK biology professor Kim Carlson and Leidimar Ramirez of Newport News, Virginia, who graduated with a master’s degree in Spanish education.
