Members of UNK Student Government got a sneak peek of the new indoor tennis complex while checking out progress at the University Village development earlier this week. A partnership between UNK and the city of Kearney, the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center is located along North Railroad Street near University Village’s southern edge. Progress continues to be made on the Element 30 housing and retail space at the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s University Village. Workers this week were completing roof trusses on Building A and started framing on Building D1. Carpenters have finished the first trim on the south end of the third floor of Building B, and the rough-in mechanical was completed in the same building. Work begins on University Village housing, tennis projects

 KEARNEY – The next two additions to the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s University Village development are beginning to take shape. Construction started this fall on the Element 30 housing project and earthwork is underway at the site of a new indoor tennis complex.
