The Antelope newspaper at the University of Nebraska at Kearney has announced staff members for the fall semester
According to Caitlin Ostberg of Stromsburg, managing print editor for the publication, The Antelope staff members handle the production, content, design, ad sales and business aspects of the collegiate newspaper. The Antelope offers both paid and class-credit positions for students.
“Students in the UNK communication department produce the print edition as well as develop the online edition, ads and design of The Antelope,” Ostberg said.
For more than 100 years, The Antelope newspaper has published weekly for the UNK students, faculty and staff, and the Kearney community. The Antelope advisers are Tereca Diffenderfer, senior lecturer in communication, and Dr. Christina Jackson, assistant professor of communication.
“Working on The Antelope has been an amazing experience and has allowed us to gain professional experience while still in college,” said Lacey McPhillips of Lindsay, editor-in-chief of The Antelope.
