The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The meeting will be held in Room Ponderosa E in the Nebraskan Student Union, 1013 W. 27th St. on the UNK campus. The meeting is open to the public and will be audio-streamed live at www.nebraska.edu.
Chancellor Doug Kristensen will lead off with welcoming remarks at 9 a.m. He will be followed at 9:15 a.m. by Marjorie Kostelnik, senior associate to the University of Nebraska president, who will provide an update on the Budget Response Team initiative, a process launched last year to reduce administrative spending across the university.
The Board meeting will begin at 9:45 a.m. A detailed agenda is available here. Items for the Board’s consideration include:
- A multi-year, consolidated agreement to provide the NU system with Splunk security software. The proposed agreement standardizes and coordinates the university’s management and response on security incidents. (Addendum IX-B-1)
- Plans for an addition to Mammel Hall, home of the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The privately funded project would enhance space for laboratory, classroom and program development activities. (Addendum IX-B-2)
