International Student Adviser, (402)-865-8946
Nine Phi Beta Delta spring initiates will be recognized at an International Graduation and Achievement reception Sunday, April 23, at 3:45 p.m. in the University of Nebraska at Kearney Ockinga Conference Room.
In addition to recognizing Phi Beta Delta initiates, 222 international students will be recognized for academic achievement, 21 for student leadership, and 30 spring and summer graduates will be honored. Lunch will also be served.
According to Corliss Sullwold, UNK associate director of International Education, all international students are invited to attend.
“Because of their contributions to the global environment at UNK, and their separation from friends and family, it is important to give special recognition to our international students who excel in and out of the classroom, as well as those who are completing their program of study,” Sullwold said .
This will be a good opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and congratulate our student achievers, leaders and graduates,” she said.
Phi Beta Delta honors those who serve internationalism — the idea of a world connected, respect for different traditions and the need for education to enhance knowledge of the many cultures that are part of a globe.
