Sixteen student teams participated in Loper Programming and Activities Council’s annual gingerbread house competition Thursday night at the Nebraskan Student Union.
Students and staff judged the creations on quality, originality/creativity and overall effect. Teams were required to make every part of their structures edible and they could not be constructed outside the 30-minute competition time. LPAC provided frosting and graham crackers. Participants brought their own embellishments.
Winning teams were:
1st place and $150 – HGTV’s Nutty Creationz
2nd place and $100 – Grinch Don’t Kill My Vibe
3rd place and $50 – Rebels Without a Claus
LPAC also provided a snow globe for students to step into and get their pictures taken while they waited for competition results.
