UNK’s Military and Veterans Services Office hosted a Veterans Day ceremony Friday to honor university faculty, staff and students who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
The program, which was held at the Miriam Drake Theatre on campus, included a presentation and retirement of the colors by the UNK ROTC Color Guard; national anthem sung by military spouse Ruthea Rodehorst; military branch songs played by the UNK band; and speeches by Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and U.S. Navy veteran Kristen Majocha, aviation lecturer and U.S. Army veteran Al Spain and Military Science Department Chair and U.S. Army Capt. Jonathan Policky.
