The UNK Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign, facilitated by the University of Nebraska Foundation, kicks off today and runs through Nov. 8.
During the campaign, donors are invited to support any of three highlighted areas:
UNK Student Crisis Scholarship Fund
UNK Fund for the highest campus priorities
“As a member of UNK’s faculty or staff, you invest your time and talent in our students and campus every day,” said Teresa Brown with the NU Foundation. “When you extend that investment to include philanthropic contributions, you express your belief in our work, in each other and, most importantly, our Loper students.”
UNK faculty and staff are encouraged to support whatever area means most to them and can visit a full list of funds at nufoundation.org/unkfacultystaff.
Many UNK employees donate regularly, often monthly, through payroll deduction.
“Every year, UNK gives access to quality education to diverse students, many of who are first generation, who graduate and go on to make a difference,” said Gilbert Hinga, dean of student affairs. “I give because it is my way of assuring that UNK continues to meet our noble calling of preparing students to make a difference in a world that needs it.”
In addition to the online option, faculty and staff will receive a campaign brochure and contribution form through campus mail. Gifts can be made by check, credit card or payroll deduction.
Credit card gifts may also be made online at nufoundation.org/unkfacultystaff.
All gifts to the campaign will remain confidential.
