Queen Elizabeth And The Reformation Kearney Public Library Nov. 2, Noon to 1 p.m. Brown Bag Series, featuring a lively discussion with Dr. Carole Levin, actresses Tamara Meneghini and Bernadette Sefic from the Elizabeth I show, and faculty from UNK's History and English Departments. Queen Elizabeth the reformation, secret thoughts, and historical accidents copeland hall 142, 4 p m unk history department presents Elizabethan reception and book signing following the lecture DR. CAROLE LEVIN is Willa Cather Professor of History and Director of the Medieval and Renaissance StudiesProgram at UNL. Her books include Dreaming the English Renaissance: Politics and Desire in Court and Culture and The Heart and Stomach of a King: Elizabeth I and the Politics of Sex and Power. She has worked on two major exhibits, “Elizabeth I: Ruler and Legend” at the Newberry Library in Chicago and “To Sleep Perchance to Dream” at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. She is co-founder and past president of the Queen Elizabeth I Society, and is Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. She is the author of the play Elizabeth I: In Her Own Words.
