On Sept. 25 UNK ended homecoming week and its year-long “111-25 Year of Celebration” with a gala dinner in the Health and Sports Arena. NU President Hank Bounds and UNK Chancellor Doug Kristensen addressed the 300 attendees on the theme “The Sky’s the Limit.” NU Foundation/Alumni VP Lucas Dart introduced past distinguished alumni, and a UNK student jazz combo provided the reception entertainment.
Kristensen said: “Tonight let us dream a bit about tomorrow, next year and where we will be in the next 25 years. UNK has the tradition, partners, and ability to have a larger impact on Nebraska. Only time will tell if we are successful. I sure like our chances.”
