Comments from those who nominated Marker:

“Customer Service is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Brenda. She always has a smile and friendly greeting for the students.”

“Brenda is the custodial supervisor for the residence halls, student union and Health & Sports Center/Cushing buildings. … These are tough areas to keep clean, and she works hard to keep them clean. It is not unusual to see her working alongside her staff.”

“I’ve lost track of how many times when I had to call her in after hours to clean up water from a leak. She’s the first to arrive and the last to leave, and she never stops working while there. And she never complains. In fact the last time, she was on vacation and still came in.”

“Brenda is always focused on seeing the buildings clean and safe for our customers. In Brenda, I see a sense of pride in being a UNK employee.”

“She has the ability to motivate her staff to high performance and is always interested in how best to learn new ways to keep them motivated.”
