Guest speaker James Benham highlights drones, other construction trends

KEARNEY – A presentation on the latest trends, solutions and devices in building technologies is being hosted at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

James Benham will present “How Drones, Sensors and Integrated Apps are Rewriting all the Rules of Construction” from 12:30-2 p.m. Tuesday in the UNK student union Ponderosa Room.

Geared toward students and construction professionals, the event is free and open to the public.

Benham is CEO of JBKnowledge Inc., which provides technology solutions for construction and insurance industries.  He has presented at numerous national IT and construction events.

Benham will discuss how drones and other emerging technologies are evolving construction projects

He will discuss statistics behind the annual Construction Technology Report, explain how companies are researching and implementing the latest technologies, and how they are impacting their projects.

The presentation is hosted by UNK Construction Management Program and Associated General Contractors Nebraska Building Chapter.
