Randall Mantor 2

KEARNEY – Following nine months of construction, the new entryway to Randall and Mantor halls at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is complete and open. Campus and the community are welcome to come see the new entryway at a public open house from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The project cost was .3 million.

The student-focused addition gives a new “front door” to the residences with a public lobby, greeting desk, mailboxes and elevator access. The project also improves heating and cooling equipment, replaces entry doors and develops an accessible entry with increased security features.

Mantor was renovated in 2009 and Randall in 2011.

Ground-breaking for the 3,000-square-foot entryway was April 30. Paulsen Inc. of Cozad was the contractor, while the project’s architect was Wilkins, Hinrichs & Stober Architects of Kearney.
