The Lopers are stepping up their “road game” thanks to the addition of a new University of Nebraska at Kearney branded motor coach unveiled today.

In partnership with Don Oberle and Navigator Motor Coaches of Norfolk, the 47-passenger bus will not only serve travel needs for UNK, but will also greatly expand the scope of the university’s regional marketing efforts.

Adorned with images of the “UNK Experience,” the bus serves as a rolling advertisement for the university as it shuttles athletes to and from sporting events. With trips to conference and regional games, the UNK identity and institutional success will not only be shared with schools visited, but with every person who is exposed to the bus in transit.

“The University of Nebraska Kearney is excited to partner with Navigator Motor Coaches to provide exclusive charter bus transportation for Loper Athletics,” said Director of Athletics Paul Plinske. “Our number one concern is always the safety and well-being of our student-athletes, but we are especially thankful that Don Oberle has agreed to wrap one of his buses with the Loper Athletics brand.

“This ‘moving billboard’ will bring greater visibility to our university and help instill more pride in all of our sport programs.”

The bus debuts this weekend as the Lopers continue to work their way through the midpoint of the winter sports season.

  1. An awesome, beautiful new bus!! Well deserved too! We’ve come a long way since I played KSC Volleyball and we rode in the “weenie-wagon”!
