KEARNEY – Carol Cope’s generosity changed the University of Nebraska at Kearney landscape. And today, Cope, a longtime Kearney resident and philanthropist, continues to have an impact on campus.
Chancellor Doug Kristensen and the University of Nebraska Foundation will announce at a news conference and reception at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, the latest chapter in Cope’s story of generosity. Details are confidential until the news conference.
Carol Cope was involved in numerous organizations and foundations at local and state levels. She died on her 103rd birthday on Sept. 13, 2012.
