The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic will be commemorated with a “Remember the Titanic Tea,” set for 3 p.m. Saturday (April 14), at the historic Frank House on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

The ticket deadline is Wednesday, April 4. Tickets are $15 per person. For more information, or to make a reservation, contact KrisAnn Sullivan, director of the Frank House, at 865-8284 or frankhouse@unk.edu.

Menu items for the tea will include assorted beef, ham and turkey sandwiches, apple scones and white chocolate scones, assorted gourmet cookies and hot tea. During the tea, Titanic displays will be available for viewing, and music from the time period will fill the rooms.

“The tea is being held in conjunction with the performance of ‘Unsinkable Women’ earlier that afternoon at the Merryman Performing Arts Center,” Sullivan said. More information about the performance of “Unsinkable Women” is available at: http://blog.kearneypublic.org/merryman.
