UNK– Summer Advising and Enrollment (SAE) is underway on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

SAE is a day-long program which provides incoming students, whether they are freshmen or transfer students, an opportunity to register for classes, meet with their advisers, and learn about financial aid and other information. Informational sessions about topics such as housing, financial aid and food service are held for parents and guardians while students are attending their sessions.

SAE dates still available for incoming students are Tuesday-Thursday, June 8-10; Monday and Tuesday, June 14 and 15; and Thursday and Friday, June 24-25

“This (SAE) is beneficial to new students, because they can be that much closer to becoming an official student and enjoy their summer, and there will not be that last minute scramble to get enrolled into UNK in the fall,” said Jael Roschewski, UNK admissions counselor. “We do not want our incoming freshmen and their families to stress or worry if they have to attend one of the later dates. All students will leave with a schedule of classes for their fall semester here at UNK.”

The student schedule includes: check-in between 9-9:30 a.m. in the Nebraskan Student Union, followed with a welcome and introduction of the student staff members. Presentations begin at 9:45 a.m. and conclude at 11:45 a.m. for lunch. Rotating student sessions on student life, and advising and registration will take place from 12:45-3:45 p.m. Space for each day is limited and filled on a first-respond, first-reserved basis. To register, go to www.unk.edu/admissions.aspx?id=6460 or call 1-800-KEARNEY.
