Paul Niedbalski To Present Junior Trombone Recital Saturday, Dec. 13, At UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall

UNK- Paul Niedbalski of Kearney, a music education and music performance major at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, will present a junior trombone recital on Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. 
 
The program will begin at noon, and is free and open to the public.
 
He will be accompanied by pianist Todd Thalken. Works to be performed include “Sonata” by Paul Hindemith, “Concertino” by Ferdinand David, “Sonata” by Arcangelo, “Fantasy” by Malcolm Arnold and “Atlantic Zephyrs” by Gardell Simons.
 
Niedbalski is a member of the UNK “Pride of the Plains” marching band, Kearney Symphony Orchestra (KSO), UNK Jazz Rock Ensemble, and he performed in the 2008 New Music Festival.

The son of Steve and Kathy Niedbalski of Kearney, he is a graduate of Kearney Catholic High School. He studies trombone with Dr. Mike Forbes, UNK low brass instructor.
