Translation and interpretation services needed in the Kearney area will be the focus of a working luncheon this week on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

UNK Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Finnie Murray is hosting the Chamber and UNK Partnership Luncheon Wednesday, Feb. 2, in the Chancellor’s Dining Room, which is located on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union.

Business and agency representatives identified by the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce will be meeting with UNK faculty and administration to explore possible ways to collaborate to address the increasing need for translation and interpretation services in this area.

The meeting was envisioned by the Diversity Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and an informal group of UNK faculty and staff devoted to enhancing the services provided to individuals and families of the Kearney area community.
