Ten seniors from the University of Nebraska at Kearney were recently awarded the Mary Jane and William R. Nester Student Leadership Award.

Dr. William R. Nester, who served as the chancellor of Kearney State College and UNK from 1983-1993, and his wife established this award to recognize seniors who have excelled academically and have demonstrated exemplary service, character and leadership during their UNK career.

The seniors and their majors are listed below.
Greenwood – Amy Willadsen, criminal justice
Harrison – Timothy Hanley, business administration and airway science
Kearney – Aaron Estes, sports administration; Davin Jones, business administration and computer information systems; Nathan Murdoch, biology
North Platte – Nick Branting, biology comprehensive with a molecular emphasis
Ogallala – Klinton Holscher, industrial distribution
Seward – Brandi Mitchell, environmental biology, secondary education physical science and biology

Paullina – Allison Kruger, health and physical education K-12
