Pianist Fenia Chang, an assistant professor of music at Texas A&M University at Commerce, will be a guest performer in the Concerts-on-the-Platte series at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Monday, April 12, in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.

A native of Taiwan, Dr. Chang has performed extensively on three continents as soloist, chamber musician and concerto soloist. She is a pianist in the Grand Tradition, whose honors include placing in the Frinna Awerbuch and Busoni International Piano Competitions. Her degrees include performance degrees from The Juilliard School and a doctorate from the University of Maryland.

Her 7:30 p.m. recital will include Haydn’s Sonata in C Major, Ravel’s Jeux d’Eau, Chopin’s Sonata No. 3 in B minor and two works by Spanish composer Enrique Granados. The recital is free and open to the public.
