The University of Nebraska at Kearney will host the Health and Human Services Career Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, in the Nebraskan Student Union Room 238.

Representatives from more than 30 different programs will be present to provide information about their professions, along with professional school and clinical program information. While the career fair is designed for high school students, this event is open to the general public.

“The career fair is for any current or potential student to investigate health care and human service careers,” said Peggy Abels, UNK health sciences director. “Students can find information about requirements, what is needed at UNK, where they have to go to after they have completed their time here, job market and outlook, salaries and a lot of other information.”

The career fair is in an open house format with special breakout sessions offered by a variety of UNK departments including social work, psychology, and athletic training. The Admissions Office will be giving a tour of UNK to interested students at 1 p.m.
