ANGELA REGENOS NAMED PRESIDENT OF ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Angela Regenos (Class of 1984) is the newly- elected president of the University of Nebraska at Kearney Alumni Association.

Regenos, director of the Kearney Public Schools Foundation, assumed the duties at the association’s annual board of directors meeting in conjunction with 2003 Homecoming earlier in October. Regenos replaces Mike Fitzpatrick (Class of 1963) of Omaha. Other officers for the 2003-2004 year are Chuck Lindly (Class of 1963) of Rapid City, S.D., president- elect, and Kent Holen (Class of 1961) of Bertrand, secretary.

Eight board members completed three-year teams on the board and are now trustees of the association. They are Geoff Hall (Class of 1983) of Blair, Jean Mattson (Class of 1981) of Kearney, Tammy Moerer- Urdahl (Class of 1980) of Fort Calhoun, Sharon George Peck (Class of 1962) of Lincoln, Dan Prichard (Class of 1992) of Olathe, KS, Wayne Walker (Class of 1952) of Sun City, AZ, and Jeffie Wiggins- McMullen (Class of 1976) of Kearney. John Ryan (Class of 1982) of Omaha, who served as the Alumni Association president in 2000- 2001, completed his term on the executive committee.

New board members elected to three-year terms are Casey Anderson (Class of 1964), regional sales manager with DCI, Inc. in the Kansas City area; Brenda Snodgrass Christensen (Class of 1983) of Minden, office manager for Post Rock Gas in Holdrege; Larry Edwards (Class of 1963), owner and CEO of The Light Center in Fort Collins, CO.; Connie Swanson Frazen (Class of 1964) of Hastings, a teacher in the Grand Island system; Tanis Hall- Goedert (Class of 1994) owner of Refund in Kearney; Jenny Apel Lydiatt (Class of 1993), an information technology systems analyst with USAA in Colorado Springs, CO.; Cindy Sims Pile (Class of 1979), a special education teacher in the Papillion-LaVista school district; Bob Whitehouse (Class of 1967), former administrator and teacher with the Omaha Public Schools and now an education consultant; and Duane Tucker ( Class of 1983), an attorney in Hayward, CA.
