“Pride of the Plains”, the University of Nebraska at Kearney Marching Band, will host the annual Band Extravaganza on October 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. This year’s performance will include selections from a Classic Rock show, Western show, Alumni show and Pregame and Parade music.
According to band director Dr. Neal Schnoor, UNK professor of Music and Performing Arts, “This concert has something for everyone; young and old, vocal and instrumental, classical and popular, and traditional to patriotic to contemporary.
The band students work as hard as any group to promote our campus and I hope a good number of people from the campus and community come to support them in return. The program is free and open to the public.
