NEBRASKA SAFETY CENTER OFFERS SPRING DRIVER EDUCATION EVENING CLASSES

The Nebraska Safety Center on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus will be offering spring driver education courses beginning March 20.

The courses conform to the rules and regulations of the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles and exceed the criteria established for insurance discounts. The Tuesday and Thursday evening classes are approximately six weeks in length and will be held March 20, 22, 27, 29, April 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, and 24. Classes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. On street driving will be scheduled at different times at the convenience of the student and instructor.

The fee for the course is $225. Each student must have a learner’s or school permit to enroll in the course. Each student will be provided up to three hours of on-street driving time. Individuals with special needs relating to the classroom or driving and individuals needing accommodations under ADA should contact the Nebraska Safety Center or the UNK ADA Coordinator at (308) 865-8655 prior to the event.

Students must attend all courses, presentations and pass all examinations.
