Kearney, Neb., May 21, 2013 – The Museum of Nebraska Art welcomes nationally-renowned artist Keith Jacobshagen on May 29.

Jacobshagen will lead a presentation in conjunction with MONA’s Prairiescapes exhibition where he will share his inspiration and insights behind his landscape paintings. His work has been said to capture “the vastness and light that exemplifies the Midwestern countryside.” The presentation is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Originally from Kansas, Jacobshagen moved to Nebraska in 1968 and has since focused his artistic talents within a 60-mile radius of Lincoln. Working both outdoors and in the studio, he has been featured in 63 one-person exhibitions from New York City to San Francisco. Several of his pieces have been purchased for private, corporate and public collections throughout the United States.
