UNK students receive awards from Nebraska Broadcasters Association

KEARNEY – University of Nebraska at Kearney students continue to rack up awards for their work with the campus radio station, KLPR 91.1 FM. The latest honors came last week, when the Nebraska Broadcasters Association announced the winners of its annual Pinnacle Awards. Jacob Roth, Makenzie Petersen crowned UNK homecoming royalty

KEARNEY – Jacob Roth of Milford and Makenzie Petersen of O’Neill were crowned homecoming king and queen Thursday evening at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The two will oversee remaining homecoming week festivities, including the parade at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Kearney, and be recognized during halftime of UNK’s home football game against Northeastern State University, set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Cope Stadium. UNK names eight finalists for 2019 homecoming royalty

KEARNEY – Eight finalists for homecoming royalty were announced today (Sept. 30) during a pep rally on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus. Queen candidates are Parker Humpal of Fort Collins, Colorado, Makenzie Petersen of O’Neill, Haley Pierce of West Point and Hannah Sealock of Columbus. King candidates are Gabe Crocker of Kearney, Jose Ortega of Lexington, Jacob Roth of Milford and Zach Sullivan of Omaha. New Student Enrollment leaders selected at UNK for 2019; Pierce is First Year Coordinator

KEARNEY – Eight students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will lead New Student Enrollment May 29 to July 18. The students were selected for their scholarship, communication ability, leadership and ability to represent their colleges to new incoming UNK freshmen and their parents.
