Allysen Gross gains classroom experience at UNK’s Loper Launch summer camp

UNK senior Allysen Gross has taken advantage of many opportunities to get experience working with children in the classroom before student teaching. Most recently, the K-12 special education major from Seward worked as the lead paraprofessional at the university’s annual Loper Launch Enrichment Camp in June.

Gross helped plan the summer camp, which offers one-week, hands-on classes to Kearney-area kids in first through eighth grades. She also managed the team of paraprofessionals who assisted in the classrooms.
