The University of Nebraska at Kearney journalism honor society recently inducted 10 new members into its ranks at a ceremony held on Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Little Mexico restaurant in Kearney.
New members inducted into Students In Mass Media (SIMM) include Matt Ringen, Fairbury; Maggie Carr, Gibbon; Lana Lueck, Grant; Bridget Dishman, Gurley; Holden Armstrong, North Platte; Rebecca Coulter, North Platte; Sara Quisenberry, Wood River; Victoria Althage, Yutan; Kaitlyn Noone, Logan, Kan.; and Mari Nakamura, Japan.
To be nominated for membership in SIMM, students must be sophomores or above, maintain a 3.2 overall GPA, be working toward a major or minor in a field of mass communication, and be a full-time student. SIMM meetings are held twice a month.
