With the largest voter turnout in nearly a decade, Brett Chloupek, Harvard, and Jesse Cain, North Platte, have been elected student body president/regent and vice president, respectively.
“We are going to work hard and were very happy to see the higher turnout,” Chloupek said adding, “Jesse and I are both happy with the election.”
“The first thing we are going to do is start meeting with members of the faculty, administration and others we will be working with throughout the year and putting a solid cabinet together,” he said.
In all, 827 students voted, nearly double the number of students who voted last year.
