Heidi Haussermann, assistant director of Information Technology Client Services, received the University of Nebraska Board of Regents KUDOS award Friday.
KUDOS awards recognize university staff for their professional expertise, service and “superior dedication” to UNK and the University of Nebraska. It is the university’s top staff award.
Haussermann provides technology assistance to support hardware and software in a variety of academic settings, manages the Helpdesk and tech coordinators in the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education and is UNK’s SAP security coordinator.
She also serves on the 2-Factor Integration Committee, Employee Separations Working Group, Knowledge Base Project Group and Footprints Integration Team. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from UNK and is Dell, Lenovo and HP certified.
“Heidi has undoubtedly assisted and helped more faculty, staff and students than any other one person at UNK,” said Jane Petersen, UNK director of Academic Technology and Client Services for NU Information Technology Services. Haussermann illustrates how knowledge, kindness and commitment can bring admiration, respect and recognition, added Petersen.
Comments about Haussermann in a recent ITS survey included: “Continues to go above and beyond to help. Very knowledgeable. Always kind and courteous, even after several questions. Have come to rely on her for help.”
