University of Nebraska at Kearney choir members celebrated the holiday season last weekend with a pair of performances.
On Friday, the Choraleers shared the stage with Christian music icon Sandi Patty during her “Christmas in Kearney” concert at the Merryman Performing Arts Center. The Choraleers sang backup vocals for the five-time Grammy Award winner during “Wonderful Child” and “O Holy Night.”
On Sunday, the Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus, Collegium and Choraleers performed their holiday concert in the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall. Conducted by UNK director of choral activities John Petzet, the concert also featured UNK brass and percussion performers, as well as pianist Steve Larson, pianist Ruth Moore and organist/pianist Marilyn Musick.
