UNK-This Friday, October 6 from 7 p.m.- 7:45 p.m., the second of four shows, “The Search for Planets Around Other Stars,” will be showing in the Bruner Hall of Science Planetarium. The Planetarium is located in the basement of the Bruner Hall of Science.
“Astronomers currently have strong evidence for about 50 planets orbiting other stars. This show will answer the question of how we are finding them, the different methods astronomers use to search for other planets, and the chances of finding other ‘Earths,'” said Associate Professor of Physics, Dr. Jose Mena-Werth. Mena-Werth will also be presenting the showing. The showing is open to the public, free of charge.
