Sigma Phi Epsilon, a social fraternity at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, raised more than $9,000 for philanthropy projects last year with the help of its new officers.
The philanthropies of the fraternity are Youth Aids and the National Kidney Foundation of Nebraska. Each year, to raise awareness and funds for research, the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon host the Tri-City Storm Hockey Raffle for Youth Aids and the Augie Nelson Golf Classic for the National Kidney Foundation of Nebraska. Last year, the group raised $9,500.82 in combined events.
