UNK– High school choral groups from across Nebraska will be singing, performing and learning ways to improve their music during the Men’s Choral Clinic at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Wednesday, Nov. 3.
The clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Campus Lutheran Church, which is located at Twenty-seventh Street and Ninth Avenue. The clinic is open to all Nebraska high schools.
The high school choruses will perform at least one song for everyone in attendance. Dr. David Bauer, UNK music and performing arts professor, will work with each of the groups on ways to improve their pieces.
“We want high school students to have a musically rewarding experience, become acquainted with the UNK performing ensembles, and establish a contact with the faculty and students here at UNK,” said Jane Jameson, UNK music and performing arts office associate.
UNK students will help throughout the clinic, and the UNK Men’s Chorus will perform at the close of the clinic.
