KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney Department of Music and Performing Arts will have its annual Honors Recital and Convocation at 3 p.m. Sunday (May 1) in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.
Featured will be music majors who were selected and nominated by music faculty. The program will also recognize students for their awards and accomplishments during the academic year.
The event is free and open to the public.
The following students are performing:
Fullerton – Alyssa Wetovick, mezzo-soprano, senior majoring in music education
Grand Island – Aaron Borer, clarinet, sophomore majoring in education and clarinet performance
Grand Island – Thomas Prentice, piano, sophomore majoring in music business and composition
Minden – John Robert Jacobs, baritone, senior majoring in music education
Wallace – John Paul Lempke, piano, senior majoring in composition and piano performance-pedagogy
Bismarck, N.D. – Eric Jensen, viola, senior majoring in viola performance and computer science
Fujisawa City, Japan – Ayane Nakajima, piano, senior majoring in piano performance
Suwon, South Korea – Hyojung Kim, flute, senior majoring in music business
Seoul, South Korea – Hajeong Lee, soprano, senior majoring in vocal performance
